On September 1st, the long-awaited concert by Ruslana and the dance group "Zhyttia" took place in Cologne as part of the "Ukraine Tag" festival, right next to the Chocolate Museum. This festival attracted fans from all around and became a celebration of Ukrainian music, culture, and traditions. Its culmination was the energetic performance of our favorite singer. Of course, we, the fans, couldn't miss this event! I, Jindra (admin of Ruslana Energy), Katya, and Christiane went to Cologne to support Ruslana and enjoy another unforgettable concert. Before the performance, we visited the festival's market area, where there was an opportunity to taste Ukrainian delicacies and purchase some souvenirs. To make the most of the day, we also took a ride on the giant Big wheel, which dominated the event space and offered a breathtaking view of the entire city of Cologne and the Ukraine Tag area.
Thanks to our friends, we had the immense honor of meeting Ruslana in person, both before and after the concert. She was just as we know her – full of energy, joy, and positive emotions. She took time with each of us, which filled us with new energy for a long time to come! As a thank you, we gave her gifts that we had carefully prepared for her.
The concert itself was a pure explosion of energy! Ruslana delivered the best of her repertoire – every song was an adrenaline rush. Classic hits like "Wild Dances" were performed alongside newer tracks, and every song was a reason to dance. Special mention should be made of the visual effects during "Buyna" – dynamic visuals played on the screen behind the stage, perfectly complementing Ruslana's incredible energy. The Ukraine Tag festival was treated to an unforgettable musical experience, and we were carried away on a wave of euphoria.
After the concert, as proper tourists, we took a walk around Cologne. We visited the iconic Cologne Cathedral and, during a stroll along the Rhine River, came across the Hohenzollern Bridge, adorned with love locks left by couples. Cologne charmed us, but the highlight of the day remained Ukraine Tag and Ruslana's energetic show.
