Ruslana's Wild Heart News 6

Ruslana na Times Square

Here comes another issue of our irregular newsletter, "Ruslana’s Wild Heart News". Ruslana performed in her beloved hometown of Lviv and shared a backstage experience where she almost lost her voice. She continues tirelessly with her fundraising campaign to finance FPV drones, which contribute to Ukraine’s path to victory. You can find this and much more in the following article.

Ruslana performed in her hometown of Lviv. She was happy to once again perform in front of her Ukrainian audience and also visit her parents and friends. The video above was shot after the concert in front of the Lviv train station — with a trembita packed in its case, and once again on the road.

She decided to share with her fans and audience another side of her work. Despite her efforts to spread only positive emotions and her immense life energy, sometimes even she faces constant stress and tension, which manifested here with the risk of losing her voice. There’s no need to explain how crucial a voice is if you earn to live by singing! Fortunately, Dr. Oksana agreed to help in the middle of the night, and our Ruslana can once again shine and share her unique charisma on stage and beyond. Ruslana also sends a message to everyone to take care of their health—both physical and mental. Your help is needed in these difficult times for those who give us the chance to live. This is why the FPV drone fundraising campaign continues.

Ruslana a Iryna Mazur

In June, Ruslana performed in Belgium at the "De Fourte Party" with her song "Wild Dances." Together with the dance group "Zhyttya" ("Life"), she got nearly 20,000 spectators of this music event dancing. Wild Dances, by the way, made it into the top hits ranking of the Belgian radio station QMusic in the chart of "unconventional" songs that break stereotypes, formats, and patterns.

A few days later, Iryna Mazur, director of “TanzTheater Zhyttya”, celebrated her birthday. For Ruslana, she is an exceptional woman who choreographed Wild Dances twenty years ago. Ruslana loves her with all her heart!

Ruslana na Times Square

Ruslana has become an ambassador for the EQUAL program by Spotify in Ukraine. Here, you can listen to a playlist of Ukrainian artists. The aim of this initiative is to support gender equality in the music industry. The display of her photo on a large screen in Times Square, New York, not only symbolizes the fight for women’s equal rights in music but also serves as a reminder of Ukraine’s fight for freedom.
